Upon completion, participants are eligible to sit for the Pennsylvania State Nurse Aide Competency and Training Examination.

Prospective participants must be at least 18 years old and provide evidence of a High School Diploma, GED, college degree, or unofficial college transcripts. A general physical examination, a two-step tuberculosis test, and a criminal background check are mandatory, with documentation required two weeks before class commencement. The registration deadline is two weeks prior to the start of each class.

The program, offering 124 hours of training, provides 3 college credits upon completion, which can be applied to specific credit-bearing degree programs. Workforce Development Program Scholarships are available, providing financial support to eligible students.

Class schedules vary, with a mix of daytime, evening, and weekend options available at different locations, including the Center for Business & Industry and the Career and Advanced Technology Center. Costs amount to $1,495, covering tuition and materials.
